This July, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act by holding a parade. Our staff drove vehicles decorated with signs from our office on North Point Boulevard, down University Parkway, and into The Drive movie theater at the Winston-Salem fairgrounds. We drove past the crowd waiting to see the film The Drive was hosting for their own ADA30 celebration, The Peanut Butter Falcon.

We had a wonderful time displaying our pride and spirit at this event! We saw lots of smiles and thumbs up from people at the theater, and more than a few drivers who passed us on the road were interested in our signs!

We hope that our next celebration of the ADA can bring more people together in one place, but the staff here at Solutions for Independence made the best of it and had a great time leading our own parade to commemorate this important anniversary.
